Laura Monroe is one of the most beloved women in the industry. She shares her story of how she goes from the “Mr. Internet” days to becoming one of the most influential people in real estate. Not only did she find her personal voice, but she became the voice for so many others along the way.
“I found those people, those voices, those minds, that helped influence me.” And then one day she got the call. From Brad Inman himself. Three simple words, “Can you talk?” changed the course of her path both personally and professionally. She was tagged to fill the very big shoes of the amazing Katie Lance, and she knew this was the perfect next step for her career. Laura found her wings and began to soar, on stage and in the Inman community she loves so dearly, and continues to do so today.
“One thing I’ve learned in this industry is that you are your best advocate. We always have to own our own message and our own voice. But, we still have to fight for what we want.”
Laura advises us that one of the best ways to support each other is to support our essence, our being, and reinforce the value we each bring to this world. Imagine how different our world would look if we could see each other through this lens. “Girl, we’ve got to do it for each other.” That’s how we can thrive together.
